The first meeting of the group of people interested in setting up the Foundation was held in early 2003. A dozen of people took part in the initiative group. Practically all those people came from NGOs. The signatories of the Foundation took the first steps of their social activity by working in Intercollegiate Ecological Lobby, then by creating the Center for Environmental Education "Milky Way", which has been transformed into a self-sufficient association Center of Ecological Action "Sources". Part of the founding group also co-created and was active in the Association for the Promotion of Students, the Ecological and Cultural Association ?Rainbow Family". Some of them are also graduates from the School of Social Animators. Establishment of the Foundation was also possible thanks to the commitment of its contributor Lech P. Zajfert.

In view of the fact that the intellectual potential of the Foundation is based on its human resources, the spectrum of the foundation?s work is very broad, representing various fields of social activity.

The goal of the Foundation is to support the well-balanced development of civil society through education, art and multimedia technologies. The Foundation achieves its goals by organizing and financing of readings, seminars, symposia, workshops and training. Foundation organizes field activities, tours, field trips, summer and winter camps, concerts, theatrical performances, publications, exhibitions and sporting events.

In the Lodz Province, the Foundation is one of the leading organizations involved in environmental education. Every year our activities involve more than 10 thousand children.
