Adult education, which takes place outside the formal education system, supports the acquisition of key competencies from the standpoint of improving the employability and mobility in today's job market, also enhances social inclusion. FERSO Foundation, aware of the challenges of modernity, is involved in the education of adults, acting on behalf of volunteer adults and their non-formal and informal education. On the international support of these projects, the Grundtvig program, for the broader general education of adults, the "Youth in Action" aimed at "young adults" (18-30 years) and the 'Europe for Citizens " , supporting the intercultural competence of adults. "Senior Environmentalists" - Senior Volunteering Project FERSO Foundation, together with a Bulgarian partner Ecomission 21st Century, is launching Senior Volunteering Project, "Senior Environmentalists' Grundtvig. It is addressed to people aged 50 +. We offer people aged 50 + three-week trip as a volunteer for our Bulgarian partner and engage in ecological activities and citizenship. Volunteers in the project will be supported in language, culturally and personally. The main idea of this project is to establish long-term cooperation between the two organizations participating in the project - the Foundation of Polish FERSO and "Ecomission 21st Century" from Bulgaria. Cooperation will be centered around the Senior Volunteering Project, and additionally supported by the exchange of experiences in the field of ecology and non-formal adult education. The project: 1st Seniors undertake voluntary activities in another European country in the field of environmental education, civic and intercultural. 2nd We will establish sustainable cooperation between organizations of the Polish and Bulgarian FERSO and Ecomission to realize volunteering abroad by persons 50 +. 3rd We will give local communities a chance to take advantage of the potential of senior citizens as a source of knowledge, competence and experience. Volunteering is increasingly being seen as a valuable non-formal learning experience for people of all ages. In particular, it is believed that this is a good way to provide learning opportunities to senior citizens across Europe, the promotion of active aging and emphasize the social contribution of seniors. Senior citizens are an invaluable source of wisdom and experience, which should benefit society to a much greater extent than it did in the past. Therefore, we offer a new form of mobility to European senior citizens to enable them to learn, exchange experience and knowledge and to transmit these values to people abroad (for www.grundtvig.pl). The Grundtvig program applies to the broader generaleducation and to promote cooperation at European level in this area. DEFINITION In our activities we rely on the UNESCO definition which describes what is education of adults: Adult education encompasses all informal and formal learning processes, which are an extension of or complement to education acquired in school, but also the broader practical training so that adults owe to develop their skills, acquire knowledge, improve professional qualifications or the acquisition of new skills and enhancement of personal life as well as the possibility of taking an active part in economic, social, and cultural development of societies.
