ADULT EDUCATION

DEFINITION
In our activities we rely on the UNESCO definition which describes what is education of adults:
Adult education encompasses all informal and formal learning processes, which are an extension of or complement to education acquired in school, but also the broader practical training so that adults owe to develop their skills, acquire knowledge, improve professional qualifications or the acquisition of new skills and enhancement of personal life as well as the possibility of taking an active part in economic, social, and cultural development of societies.


Non-formal Education ADULTS
Adult education, which takes place outside the formal education system, supports the acquisition of key competencies from the standpoint of improving the employability and mobility in today's job market, also enhances social inclusion. It is important to raise overall skill levels among adults through access to more extensive offer better learning opportunities throughout adult life. FERSO Foundation, aware of the challenges of modernity, is involved in adult education, working for volunteer adults (including seniors) and their non-formal and informal education. On the international support  in these projects, the Grundtvig program, for the broader general education of adults. It is addressed to various organizations concerned with general adult education - their students and employees. Adult within the meaning of Grundtvig is any person who has completed formal education at school and eventually graduated from higher education, regardless of whether or not received a certificate or diploma from a school.
