FERSO Foundation invites people aged 50 + to participate in the Voluntary Seniors - a three-week volunteer program in Bulgaria. Program funded by the European Union budget.
 
Project Name: "Senior Environmentalists, Seniors Volunteer Grundtvig
Partners: Foundation FERSO from Lodz, Poland (project coordinator) and the organization of the 21st Century Ecomission Lovech, Bulgaria
Main idea: The goal is to integrate the Senior Volunteer of European Union citizens and the inclusion of inactive elderly in social activities. Volunteers - seniors will participate in educational campaigns, activities to promote active citizenship and integrate the work of the international environmental education and intergenerational dialogue.
Planned activities:
1.Wysłanie two triple seniors with volunteer groups to our Polish-Bulgarian partner organization Ecomission 21st Century in April and September 2011.
2. Hosting two pairs volunteers with seniors FERSO Bulgaria Foundation in Lodz (in April 2011 and April 2012). All the volunteers for 3 weeks will be involved in the preparation and celebration of Earth Day (April) or Car Free Day (in September).
3. Establishing a long-term partnership between two organizations of the so-called. new EU member states - with Polish and Bulgarian.
The first Polish volunteers will leave for Bulgaria in the period from 10 April to 1 May 2011 - three people.
