February 23 House of Culture in the Lodz conference "Volunteerism and international cooperation in the region of Lodz - the exchange of good practices" organized by the Foundation FERSO, Regional Office of the Lodz Region in Brussels and the Library of Lodz - Widzew.
The main objective of the conference was to familiarize participants with the current situation in the area of ​​intercultural education, including international cooperation, cultural and civic education in our region. In addition, important was the opportunity to exchange best practices and the promotion of those actively involved in these activities.


For several hours, speakers shared their experience of programs such as: The "Learning for life" (particularly the Sectoral Programme Grundtvig), "Youth in Action" (including the European Voluntary Service - EVS, and initiatives locally for intercultural education and citizenship.)
There was a performance of the current European volunteers coordinated and hosted by the Foundation FERSO. Volunteers presented a scene showing their fun adventures in Poland and spoke about their work.
The conference was attended by representatives of Lodz NGOs, cultural institutions - educational institutions, libraries and kindergartens.
